Moose Jaw's Rhett Gardner has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars.

Gardner was originally selected by the Stars in the fourth round, 116th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft.

The 23-year-old just wrapped up his senior season with the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks, where he registered eight goals and 15 points in 37 games.

Gardner will join the Stars' American Hockey League affiliate, Texas Stars, for the remainder of the season on an Amateur Tryout.
