The Minor AAA Miller Express kept their unbeaten record intact with a 13-11 win over the North Regina Little League Cannon Ballers Monday night in Regina. 

Moose Jaw improved their record to 3-0 in league games. 

Over the May 14 and 15 weekend, Moose Jaw hosted a Minor AAA tournament and finished in the top spot. Teams from Regina, Saskatoon and Medicine Hat competed in the tournament. 

Moose Jaw won their first game against the Saskatoon Braves 10-6. In their second game, they faced a strong Medicine Hat squad, losing 9-8 despite strong performances on the mound from Kaleb Friesen and Max Young. 

Game three saw the Miller Express rebound with a 13-6 win against the Regina River Bandits. The win would set up a rematch with Medicine Hat in the finals. 

Taylor Usher took to the mound along with Nash Olfert and Asher Harkness in relief as Moose Jaw took a convincing 14-8 win to take the title. 

The Minor AAA Miller Express’ next home game is Friday at Gamble Diamond starting at 6:15 p.m.
