The Moose Jaw Miller Express have won three on a row on the road as they travel through Northern Alberta in Western Canadian Baseball League Action.

Their most recent win was an 8-7 triumph over the Fort McMurray Giants at Shell Place.

In the top of the eighth inning they took a commanding 8-1 lead over the Giants thanks to a two-run RBI single from Dougie DelaCruz.

But the Giants came back with five runs in the bottom of the eighth and another in the bottom of the ninth to make it closer. Michael Ross came on in relief to get the last two outs in the save to preserve the win.

Before the game, the league announced that Borst, Geordie McDougall and Cole Warken were named to Team East for the league’s all star game. The game will take place in Edmonton Sunday and will be preceded by a home run derby.

The Millers play two more games tonight and tomorrow in Fort McMurray. Their next home action is Tuesday against Brooks.
