The Moose Jaw Miller Express put together a dominating performance in Melville on Wednesday night, knocking off the host Millionaires 9-1 to close out their three-game series.

Blake Gallagher was lights out for the Milles as he held the Millionaires to just one run on four hits and he struck out six without a walk over seven innings of work.

The win improves Moose Jaw's record to 10-8 this season in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

Second baseman Zach Campbell led the offence for Moose Jaw, finishing the night 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Right fielder Michael Borst added two RBI, while Cole Warken, Alex Orenczuk and Isaiah Arroyo also doubled in the win.

Shortstop Andres Garza pushed his average to .320 with a 3-for-5 night, adding a run and an RBI.

The game was scoreless until the fourth when Campbell scored on a sacrifice fly from first baseman Darrell Doll.

Moose Jaw broke out in the fifth, Campbell doubled home a pair of runs and then Borst followed that up by singling in two more runs to make it 5-0 after five innings.

Eric Marriott hit an RBI-single in the sixth to extend Moose Jaw's lead to 6-0, but Melville finally got on the board in the sixth when Evan Moore led off with a double and then scored on a single by Marquis Irving.

The Millers put the game away in the seventh. Doll led off with a walk and scored on a double by Warken. Orenczuk followed that up with a double to score Warken and finally, he came around on a single from Garza to seal the win.

Reece Helland pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the Millers with two walks and one strikeout.

Tyler Sheridan finished off the game with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

The Millers will continue their road trip on Thursday night when they take on the 1-16 Cardinals in Yorkton. Moose Jaw's next home action comes on Friday when they welcome in the league-leading Weyburn Beavers.
