The Moose Jaw Midget Mustangs won their second straight on Monday night at the Kinsmen Arena.

Kael Nichols had four goals and six points to lead the Mustangs to an 11-4 win over the Regina Snipers in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

The Mustangs now sit at 4-2 on the year, which has them two games back of first place in the midget division.

Atley Calvert also posted three goals and seven points for the Mustangs in the win, while Kirk Mullen, Chris Otterson, Kayde Shymko and Ethan Johnson found the back of the net once each. Otterson added three assists.

Moose Jaw held a narrow 3-2 lead after the first period, but they were able to extend that lead to 7-4 after two and then shutout the Snipers in the third period to seal the victory.

Bryden Kerr picked up the win in goal for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Regina to face Standing Buffalo.
