The Moose Jaw Midget AA Warriors dropped an 11-5 game to the Regina Vics in their penultimate game of the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League’s regular season.

Taylor Blackmore scored just over five minutes into the game, but it was all Vics after that as they potted three straight to end the first period and then four more to open the second period and take a 7-2 lead after 40 minutes.

The Warriors pushed back in the third, but the Vics had an answer at every turn.

Garrick Ward scored twice in the loss for Moose Jaw, while Hayden Wiebe added a goal and three points. Zachary Wakeford had the other goal for the Warriors and finished with two points.

The Warriors will now close out the regular season with a home game against the Swift Current Broncos on Thursday night. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Bert Hunt Arena.

Coming up on Wednesday night, the Peewee A Warriors travel to Regina to square off with the Mustangs.
