The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League opened the 2018-19 season over the weekend.

After skating to a win in Humboldt on opening night on Wednesday, Moose Jaw's Jeremy Bisson, Jaxsen Wiebe, and the Nipawin Hawks kept it rolling on Friday night with a 4-0 win over the Broncos.

Bisson was held off the scoresheet in the win after having a goal and two points in Wednesday's opener. Wiebe received a game misconduct for checking from behind in Friday's win, just his second game in the SJHL.

Moose Jaw's Eric Soar and Melville Millionaires dropped both games to the Estevan Bruins in their opening weekend home-and-home. Soar didn't register a point in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss for the Millionaires in Melville, but he picked up an assist in Saturday's 7-4 loss in Estevan.

Former Moose Jaw Warriors forward Branden Klatt scored for the Yorkton Terriers in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Red Wings in Weyburn. Chantz Petruic was held pointless in the loss for Yorkton.

The Terriers kick-off the new week in the SJHL on Tuesday when they travel to Estevan to face the Bruins at 7 p.m.
