Jordan Jeffery is hoping to make some changes to soccer in the Friendly City after taking on the role of Technical Director with Moose Jaw Soccer this month.

Jeffery says they have some exciting new ideas on the way.

"We want to build the sport up here in Moose Jaw and go off and develop some high level players, and see where we can really end up."

Jeffery, who is originally from England, moved to Moose Jaw in 2013 and is heavily involved in local soccer programs. He is the soccer coach for Peacock Collegiate and holds a Canadian Soccer Professional C-License.

"The main thing is, is we would like to kind of increase the numbers again and start looking to be a little bit more competitive in tournaments where we go off and face other teams. We'd also like to focus on the grassroots as well, just try and get some kids that have maybe never tried soccer to come out and come out and play against kids of a similar skill set in our grassroots program."

This summer, the MLS club the Vancouver Whitecaps will be hosting their summer camp program in Moose Jaw on July 9th and 10th.
