Nolan Jones is back home after being traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors last week.

The Moose Jaw product made his debut with the Warriors on Jan. 10 in Medicine Hat against the Tigers.

Jones said coming back to Moose Jaw is a dream come true.

“It’s really special as a kid growing up, I was always hoping to play in this league, but it just adds to the excitement being able to play for your hometown,” Jones said.

Jones was selected in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2016 Bantam Draft by the Lethbridge Hurricanes before being traded to the Victoria Royals.

The defenceman has played 93 games in the WHL, amassing three goals and 17 assists. This season, he suited up in 30 games for the Royals before he was dealt to the Warriors.

Jones and the Warriors are back in action on Friday night when they host the Prince George Cougars at Mosaic Place. Puck drops at 7p.m.
