A three-goal third period helped lift the Calgary Buffaloes past Moose Jaw Warriors prospect Cade Hayes and the Tisdale Trojans, 6-4, on Thursday at the 2019 Telus Cup.

The Trojans are now 2-2 in round-robin play at the Midget 'AAA' National Championship in Thunder Bay, Ont.

The Buffaloes came charging out of the game with two goals early in the first period, but the Trojans struck back with two goals in the final minute of the opening frame.

Tisdale scored twice in the second period to hold a 4-3 lead heading into the third period, but Calgary charged back and then some, scoring three times to come from behind for the win.

The Magog Cantonniers have locked up first place as they're leading the pack at 4-0, while the Trojans, Buffaloes and Toronto Young Nationals all sit tied for second place at 2-2 and the Halifax Macs are just behind 1-2-1.

The round robin wraps up on Friday with Tisdale squaring off with the Nationals at 10 a.m. A win or a Halifax loss will get Tisdale into the semifinals on Saturday.
