The Moose Jaw Generals surrendered three third period goals and lost 5-4 in overtime to the Saskatoon Contacts on Tuesday night in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

Steven Kesslering, Nolan Jones, Jaxon Georget and Cal Caragata scored over the first 40 minutes to help the Generals build up a 4-1 lead over the Contacts heading into the third.

Saskatoon cut the lead down to two with a goal from Jordan Bairos just past the midway point of the third.  The Contacts’ break came with 5:37 left when Jack Michell made it a one-goal game and that was followed up by Alexander Morozoff just 12 seconds later to tie the game.

Morozoff scored the winner midway through the overtime period to complete the comeback for the Contacts.

Generals goalie Ethan Hein was peppered with 51 shots in the loss, while Moose Jaw fired 31 shots on the Contacts’ net.

The loss drops Moose Jaw’s record to 5-13-2-3 on the year.  They will return to the ice coming up this weekend at Mosaic Place when the Generals host the Yorkton Maulers for games on Saturday and Sunday.
