Week 3 action in the Original 16 Cash League was on the ice at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre on Wednesday. A full eight-game slate made for a busy night and when the dust settled, there were four teams that remained undefeated.

Joel Jordison’s Seaborn Insurance rink secured a 6-1 win over Makenna Simmons’ Paws N Play to improve to 3-0 this season. The young Simmons rink falls to 0-3.

Stan Barnsley and the Pro-Tec Electric rink stole three in the fourth and four in the fifth to improve to 2-0 with a dominating 9-2 win over Warren Marcotte and the MJ Fountain Tire/Keon’s rink, who lost for the first time, falling to 2-1.

Donna Ackerman’s Forged 365 rink opened their season on a winning note, scoring one in the eighth to beat Lorraine Arguin and the Easy Care Living rink, 5-4. That was also Arguin’s first loss of the year as they drop to 2-1.

Danielle Sicinski and the BTN Chartered Accountants rink were off this week and remain undefeated at 2-0.

There are six teams tied for fourth place with 2-1 records.

Murray Stroeder’s Tax Team rink rolled to a 7-2 win over Ralph Courtnage’s Terra Grain Fuels rink, putting both teams at 2-1 this season.

Joe Gunnis and the EMJ Marketing rink got on a roll late to secure a 7-5 win over Bob Desjarlais’ Kal Tire rink. After Desjarlais posted a four-ender in the fifth, Gunnis scored two in the sixth then stole one in the seventh and another in the eight to improve to 2-1, while Desjarlais dropped to 0-3.

The Barb Wallace rink pulled off a 6-4 win over the David Gray rink to improve to 2-1. Gray falls to 1-2 with the loss.

Ryan Wenarchuk and the John’s Music rink won for the first time this season, beating Patrick Ackerman’s Ackerman Ag Services rink, 6-5. Wenarchuk stole two in the seventh to put his record at 1-2, while Ackerman is 0-2.

Ben Gamble’s KMS rink also found the win column for the first time on Wednesday with a 10-2 win over Wade Gray and the Pro-Tec Video rink. Gamble stole three in the third, scored two in the fifth and stole four more in the sixth as he improved to 1-2. Gray falls to 1-2.

The league hits the ice every Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
