The Everett Silvertips rolled to a big 8-4 win over the Tri-City Americans in Game 3 of the WHL's Western Conference Final on Monday night.

The win gives the Silvertips a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series between the two U.S. Division rivals.

Patrick Bajkov had a hat trick to lead the way for Everett in the win, while Garrett Pilon finished with a goal and three points and Reece Vitelli posted a goal and two points.

The game started back-and-forth with Everett jumping out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Martin Fasko-Rudas and Bajkov's first, but the Americans answered back with Michael Rasmussen scoring late in the first and then Juuso Valimaki scoring a power play goal just over a minute into the second to tie the game at 2-2.

The Silvertips went back in front just a few minutes later when Vitelli found the back of the net and Ian Walker restored the two-goal lead for Everett heading into the third.

Tri-City wasn't about to go away as Isaac Johnson and Rasmussen scored goals in the opening 1:45 of the third to tie the game back up at 4-4.

Bajkov picked up his second of the game to put Everett back in front with 6:54 gone in the third and they would add three more unanswered goals to pull away for the win.

Everett goalie Carter Hart made 29 saves in the win, while Tri-City's Patrick Dea was tagged for eight goals on 26 shots.

The two sides are now off for a couple of days before meeting for Game 4 on Thursday.

The Eastern Conference Final resumes on Tuesday night with the Swift Current Broncos taking their 2-0 series lead into Lethbridge to face the Hurricanes in Game 3.
