The Colts are now just one win away from capturing the Moose Jaw Senior Ladies Fastball League championship after scoring a 12-4 win over the Hustlers on Wednesday night at Caribou Heights.

Alli Gallagher, Caralie Wait and Jocelyn Wigmore powered the offence for the Colts in the win as they each drove in a pair of runs.

Neither team's offence was able to rush out of the gates with the game scoreless heading into the third inning, but the Colts changed that in a hurry, scoring six runs in the third. They added two in the fourth and four more in the fifth to seal the win.

Gallagher reached base three times, scored one run and drove in two in the win, while Jasmine Jackman smacked an RBI-double in the fifth inning to help seal the win.

Colts pitcher Kim Neithercut struck out three and allowed just five hits to earn the win on the mound.

Erin Hetherington had a double and two RBI for the Hustlers; Nicole Ansell smacked a two-run single in the fifth; and Adriana Phillips threw a complete game in the loss.

The third game of the best-of-five series will be on the field on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at Caribou Heights.
