The Original 16 Cash League continued its 2018 playoffs on Wednesday night with eight games hitting the ice.

Murray Stroeder and Warren Marcotte both punched their tickets into the ‘B’ side finals.

Stroeder scored three in the fifth and stole four in the sixth to win 9-3 over Bob Desjarlais on Wednesday. Stroeder will now take ‘A’ side final loser Ryan Wenarchuk next week.

Marcotte scored an 8-7 extra end win over Ben Gamble to advance. Marcotte picked up one in the eighth and then stole one in the ninth for the win.

The Marcotte rink will meet Joel Jordison in the other ‘B’ side final.

In other action on Wednesday, Stan Barnsley rolled to a 9-3 win over Ralph Courtnage; Ryan Wenarchuk cruised past Patrick Ackerman, 7-1; Lorraine Arguin won 6-5 over Shaunna Fritzler; Joe Gunnis doubled Barb Wallace, 8-4; Donna Ackerman secured an 8-2 win over Wade Gray; and Jordison won 8-2 over Penny Barker.

The league playoffs continue next Wednesday with the action hitting the ice at 7:30 p.m.
