The Moose Jaw Mallards hit the field for three games over the long weekend in the Baseball Regina’s bantam AA division.

The weekend started with a doubleheader against the Cubs in Lumsden. The Mallards dropped the opening game 4-1, but responded with an 11-0 win in the second game.

Moose Jaw followed that up with a 7-5 loss to the Regina Pacers at Swarbrick Diamond on Monday night.

With a 1-2 record in those three games, the Mallards now sit at 3-5 overall on the year.

They get right back on the field on Tuesday night when they face the White Butte Broncos in White City at 6:15 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Regals hit the field for their season opener in the Regina Optimist Junior Baseball League on Saturday night at Ross Wells Park. Moose Jaw rolled to a dominating 8-1 win over the Regina Angels to kick-off the year.

The Regals got on the bats early, scoring two in the first inning and then adding four in the second. They finished off the scoring with two in the sixth.

The Regals are back on the field on Tuesday to host the Regina Devils at Ross Wells Park. First pitch is at 7 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Prairie Dogs lost in the A Final at the Regina Mosquito AAA Tournament this weekend.

They posted a 3-1 record in the round robin.
