The Moose Jaw Bantam A Mavericks remain undefeated in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League with a pair of wins over the weekend.

The Mavericks travelled into the Queen City on Friday night and knocked off the Regina Renegades, 3-2, and then followed that up with a 5-1 road win over the Parkland Fire on Saturday.

The pair of wins put the Mavericks' record at a league-best 9-0-0 this season, which gives them a three-point cushion on second place.

On Friday, the Mavericks fell behind the Renegades 2-0 in the first period, but Moose Jaw didn't quit. Sidney Ellingson put the Mavericks on the board in the second period.

Ellingson would tie the game 6:50 into the third period and Nikita Halyk scored the game-winner with just eight seconds remaining in regulation.

Saturday's win was a bit less stressful, but the Mavericks still found themselves behind after the first period as the Fire took a 1-0 lead.

Moose Jaw would strike for five goals in the second period to skate to their ninth win of the season. Halyk scored twice, while Ellie Gauvin, Ember Dusomme, and Taylor Luciak also scored in the win.

The Mavericks return to the ice on Friday when they host the Renegades at the Red Knight Arena for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.

In other female hockey action over the weekend, the Peewee Mavericks dropped a 4-3 game to the Southwest Cyclones on Saturday, putting their record at 3-2-1 this season. Ashley Breitkreuz had all three goals in the loss for Moose Jaw.

The Peewee Mavericks will be on the ice for two games coming up this weekend when they face the Wood River Ice Cats in a home-and-home on Saturday and Sunday.

The Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors filled the net in a pair of wins over the weekend.

The Warriors skated to an 8-2 win over the Prairie Storm Lightning on Friday night and then topped the Regina Buffaloes, 8-3, on Saturday.

The two wins improve the Warriors to a Hockey Regina League-leading 6-0-1 this season.

Layne Gadd and Tayden Hardwicke had two goals and four points each to lead the way in Friday's win, while Noah Thul had two goals and three points. Kohen Millar and Donovan Harkness also scored.

Gadd led the Warriors again on Saturday with two goals and three points in the win, while Kai Spencer and Benjamin Kiefer added a goal and three points each. Harkness also scored twice, Thul had a goal and two points, and Millar scored his second of the weekend in the win.

Moose Jaw is off until next Thursday when they will host the Regina Shamrocks at the Bert Hunt Arena.

In other Hockey Regina action over the weekend, the Midget A Warriors dropped a pair of games, falling 7-2 to the Indian Head Chiefs on Friday and then losing 7-1 to the Prairie Storm on Saturday.

The Moose Jaw Bantam A Warriors went 1-3 over the weekend at the Kindersley Bantam A Tournament.

The Warriors lost their opening game, 4-3, to the Saskatoon Red Wing Roughnecks on Friday night. Hadyn Hudyma had a goal and two points, while Erik Tittemore and Ashton Glova also scored.

Moose Jaw had a rough couple of games on Saturday, falling 13-3 to the East End Jets in the first game. Jacob King scored twice, while Brendan Gerbrandt also found the back of the net in the loss.

The second game saw the Warriors get shutout 8-0 by the Saskatoon Wild Rebels.

Moose Jaw did finish the tournament strong as they knocked off the host Kindersley Klippers, 5-2, on Sunday. Jacob Michelson had two goals and three points, while Mac Simpson, Carter Michaluk, and Glova also scored in the win.

The Warriors return to the ice for league play on Thursday when they travel to the Queen City to face the Regina Shamrocks. Puck drops at 8:30 p.m. at the Cooperators Centre.

Still looking for their first win of the season, the Moose Jaw Bantam AA Warriors dropped a pair of one-goal games over the weekend in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

Moose Jaw lost 3-2 to the Melville Millionaires on Saturday night at Bert Hunt Arena. Chase Jocelyn scored a pair of goals in the first period to put the Warriors in front 2-0, but Melville scored three times in the second to steal the win.

On Sunday, the Warriors travelled out to Wilcox to square off with the Notre Dame Hounds and Moose Jaw had a strong first period again, leading 2-1, before giving up three in the third and falling 4-3.

Jocelyn, Brennan Blatz, and Braxton Hooper scored in the loss, while Carter Price picked up a pair of assists.

The Warriors are 0-8-1 this season. They return to the ice on Thursday to host the Hounds at the Bert Hunt Arena for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop.

In other SAAHL action, the Peewee AA Warriors lost 2-0 to the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday. They head to Swift Current to battle the Broncos on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

The Midget AA Warriors fell 6-1 to the Weyburn Wings on Sunday. Jordan Johnson had the lone goal in the loss for Moose Jaw. The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday when they head to Regina to face the Rangers at 8 p.m.
