The Moose Jaw Bantam AA Warriors played their first game of 2019 on Thursday night.

Looking for their first win of the season, the Warriors fired 43 shots on net, but they were stifled by Yorkton Terriers goalie Landon Sorensen, who stopped them all for a 2-0 win at the Bert Hunt Arena.

The Warriors outshot the Terriers 43-9 in the game, but couldn't solve the Yorkton goaltender.

The loss puts Moose Jaw's record at 0-15-1 this season in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

The Warriors have two games on the way this weekend as they hit the road to face the Saskatoon Maniacs on Saturday and the Warman Wildcats on Sunday.

In other action on Thursday, the Midget A Warriors travelled into Regina and dropped a 7-2 game to the Mustangs. Brody Ramer and Julien Allen scored in the loss for Moose Jaw.

The Warriors are now 0-18-0 this season in the Hockey Regina League. They return to the ice on Friday night to host the Regina Buffaloes at the Red Knight Arena, puck drops at 7:30 p.m., and then they have a rematch with the Mustangs in Regina on Saturday.
