The playoffs continued on Wednesday night in the Original 16 Cash League.

Eight games hit the ice at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre, including the final two in the ‘A’ event.

After going 3-12 in the regular season, the Patrick Ackerman rink has now won three straight playoff games after beating the Joel Jordison rink, 9-7, in an extra end.

The game started with Ackerman putting up four in the first and leading 5-0 after two. Jordison fought back with three in the third and two in the fifth to cut Ackerman’s lead to 6-5.

Ackerman moved in front 7-5 with a single in the sixth, but Jordison pushed back with a single in the seventh and a steal of one in the eighth to force an extra end.

Ackerman scored two in the ninth to pick-up the win.

In the other ‘A’ side game, the Penny Barker rink doubled up the Ryan Wenarchuk rink, 10-5, to advance into the championship bracket.

Wenarchuk had early control of the game with three in the first and two in the third to go up 5-2, but Barker struck back with four in the fourth, and then she stole two in each of the fifth and sixth ends.
