A three-goal third period propelled the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 4-1 win over the Prince Albert Raiders Friday at the Art Hauser Centre.

Moose Jaw had plenty of energy to start the game and was able to develop quality attack time in the Prince Albert zone, which led to an 11-6 advantage on the shot clock.

With the Warriors on the man-advantage four minutes into the game, Prince Albert was able to generate a loose puck deep in their zone.  Defenceman Nolan Allan played it off the glass and into the neutral zone where Ozzy Wiesblatt grabbed the puck and rushed into the Moose Jaw zone.

The San Jose Sharks prospect converted on a wrap-around to give the home team an early lead.

At 8:28, the Warriors line of Jagger Firkus, Brayden Yager, and Eric Alarie had the Raiders pinned inside their zone.

Yager and Alarie were able to wrestle the puck away from the Raiders in their right corner.  Yager came off the wall and drove the net and then set up Jagger Firkus in the low slot where he snapped the puck in.

However, on the play, Raiders goalie Carter Serhyenko accidentally knocked the net off as he adjusted to playing the Firkus shot.  After a review by the video goal judge, the goal was disallowed, and the Warriors went into the intermission down 1-0.

In the second period, the Warriors continued to toss more rubber at the Prince Albert net.  Moose Jaw outshot the Raiders 10-4 in the period and had a 21-10 advantage after two periods.

Moose Jaw was finally rewarded for their hard work at 7:37 when they created a loose puck at the Prince Albert blueline.

Ryder Korczak controlled the puck as the Warriors attached the Raiders net on an odd-man rush.  Korczak tossed the puck to Martin Rysavy on the right wing, the import rookie let a shot go that snuck over the pad of goalie Carter Serhyenko, his first WHL goal-tied the game at one.

The Warriors' strong attack continued throughout the third period, they outshot the Raiders 12-4 in the frame and were finally rewarded for their hard work.

At 7:42, Martin Rysavy beat the Raiders to the puck in Prince Albert's left corner.  The Czech import flung the puck towards the net where Brayden Yager tipped it past Serhyenko to give Moose Jaw their first lead.

Just over two minutes later at 9:54, Robert Baco intercepted a Raiders pass deep in the Prince Albert zone.  Baco quickly passed the puck to Ryder Korczak between the circles, the 19-year-old New York Rangers prospect put a quick backhand

over the goalie for his first goal of the season.

34 seconds later, Brayden Yager led a rush across the Prince Albert line.  He moved the puck to the middle of the ice to Denton Mateychuk, the defenceman finished the rush with his second goal of the season, putting the game out of reach.

Yager, Korczak, and Rysavy led the Warriors with a goal and two points each and Carl Tetachuk made 13 saves in the win.
