Orland Curtis Jorstad passed away peacefully Saturday, November 18, 2017 with family by his side. Lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret of sixty-two years, children: Cal (Holly), Rod (Cheryl), Rhonda Bell (Scott) AB, Bill (Louisa) AB, grandchildren: Shelly (Ryan), Curtis, Samantha (Josh) AB, Jillana (Adam) BC, Chelsea AB, Zoe AB, Reanna (Nick) AB, Jared, and great-granddaughter Esme AB, brothers: Alvin (Leona) ON, Gordon (Shirley) BC. Predeceased by his parents Curtis and Olive Jorstad, brother Carmen, and sister Marion. Born and raised  in Moose Jaw, Orland spent his whole life on the family farm, from helping his father and brothers with the family grain and dairy farm, to farming on his own, and later with his sons.  He then retired from farming in the mid 90s. He enjoyed their retirement including trips to Hawaii, Arizona, fishing in northern Saskatchewan and then summers spent at Thompson Lake. Orland loved spending time with family and friends golfing, snowmobiling, skating, camping, fishing and boating. Orland served on numerous committees over the years including Dairy Producers, Rural Telephone, Sask Wheat Pool, and many years on Central Lutheran Church Council. He was a member of this church for 84 years. Over the last few years he really enjoyed cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Blue Jays, and curling. A Celebration of his Life will take place at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga Street West, Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice.
