Ernest Leighton Jordison
June 6, 1935 - January 17, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie at the age of 83. Ernie was born at the family home in Cardross, SK. He was predeceased by parents Fred and Mildred, in-laws Jake and Mrytle Cann, infant brother Allan, nephews Brian and Allan, in-laws Terry Jordison and Percy Cann. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darlene of 56 years; daughter, Heather Palmer and her children, Cassie (Reed) - Emree and Lakyn; Wyatt (Lauren) - Lincoln and Gibson; and Carson; son Heath (Shar) - Dylan (Leanne) - Gracen and Hudsyn; Kolton and Tysen; siblings, Edwin (Jeanette), Wilfred (Lorraine ), Earl, Eileen (Harvey), Verna (Ron), Norma (Claude), Doug (Bonnie), Grant (Cheryl), and many nieces and nephews. Ernie attended Stayner School at Cardross until grade 8, then moved to Alberta. He moved back home in 1954 and had various jobs, such as bouncing at Temple Gardens and working in the tunnels of Diefenbaker Dam. He started farming in 1957. In 1962 he married the love of his life Darlene Cann. They farmed and ranched together at Cardross, and enjoyed their life centered around cattle and horses. They also enjoyed many years of trail riding along with their children and grandchildren. Ernie played baseball, curled, and took up wrestling. He was a Jays and Maple Leafs fan, faithfully watching Hockey Night in Canada. Later in life Ernie become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the ministry became the main focus of his life. He was active in this till the day he died. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw. In living memory of Ernie a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
