Edna Chapman

Our loving mother Edna Bernice Chapman (Bjorgan) of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on October 15, 2018. Edna is predeceased by her husband, Alva Chapman along with her parents and siblings. Edna will be greatly missed by her son, Brent (Irene Chapman); by her daughter, Robin (Ian Judd-Henrey); grandchildren Amanda (Greg) and Aidan & great-grandchildren Emma and Chloe. She was a memorable Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Edna was born in Demaine, SK on September 13, 1925. After high school, she pursued an education degree at teachers college. Later, she furthered her education and received a teaching degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Teaching was her passion, she was proud to have taught many students at Eyebrow School. Edna and Alva Chapman married August 1, 1951 in Yorkton, SK. They had a wonderful life together and celebrated 61 years of marriage. They resided in Eyebrow, SK for 35 years; this community was close to their hearts as they formed many great friendships. In 1996 they relocated to Moose Jaw where they enjoyed their home, gardens and the many birds who came to visit. Together they had a passion for travel and visited 8 countries. The family has warm memories of camping, travel by passenger train (CPR) and a family trip to Norway & Europe. As per Edna's request there will not be a funeral. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date with family. A special thank you to Providence Place for the care and kindness provided to Edna & family. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw, SK.
