Lunch.  Just saying the word makes me happy.  If you pack a nice lunch or have a solid lunch plan, you have something to look forward to every day.

Apparently, many of us aren't actually taking the time to enjoy lunch anymore.  A recent survey shows more than half of us say it's "rare or unrealistic" for us to take a proper lunch break away from our desks or job sites.

Many of us are pointing to "stress and pressure to deliver on high workloads" as the reason for the fact most modern office workers are more likely to eat at their desks than any other location.

I remember many years ago when unionized workers made a move to reduce their one hour lunch breaks to half an hour and trade that time for an EDO or Earned Day Off.

I also remember many places moving from an 8 hour day to a 9 hour day if their employees insisted on taking an hour for lunch.

I also clearly remember my dad coming home for lunch and having a nap after he ate.  I wonder if that still happens.  I doubt it.
