The latest stats from SGI are not only alarming but frightening.
SGI telling us our some of our new motorists are not following the rules. Dozens of fines were written up last month for youngsters who were driving without supervision and not following the restrictions.
In fact, 5 tickets were issued to kids under the age of 16 who were found driving a vehicle without authorization.
What's clear to me is that there are parents letting this happen.
SGI tells us, "Supervising drivers, your role is an important one so make sure to take it seriously. ...brush up on the Driver's Handbook if you'd like a refresher of the rules of the road...We don't want to age you," they say, "but a number of things may have changed since you got your license."
Please, mom and dad, do that.
