His much anticipated sold out show at our Mae Wilson Theatre was worth the wait.

Picture it:  Burton Cummings and his piano on a brilliant stage and not an empty seat in the house.  The music fans ranged in age from 20 to 80.  They left with smiles, knowing they just shared two hours in the same room with rock 'n roll royalty.

Burton played for almost two hours.  He delivered 18 songs.  He started with "You Saved My Soul" and he finished with "Share the Land".

Burton told us stories and spoke of his love for his mother and his country and for Wolfman Jack before he went into "Clap for the Wolfman".

He also made it clear that Moose Jaw is his "new hometown" and told us he enjoys the lifestyle we enjoy here.

He'll play another sold out show tomorrow night and then, this weekend, he'll be "Burton from Moose Jaw" for last night, the locals in attendance warmly accepted him as a genuine Moose Javian.
