Don't be angry with me but I am enjoying the social media posts from the locals. You see, people are ridiculing the City of Moose Jaw for what they see as a poor effort of clearing all this snow.
The people got some action from City Hall yesterday. A local citizen tells a story of going right to the mayor's office to voice his displeasure about people getting parking tickets when they've been stuck in the snow at parking meters. City Hall has decided to rescind those tickets.
Here's a Tweet from a guy who is seemingly amused. He says, "According to the latest numbers from @statscanada, 83% of people in Moose Jaw are experts in snow removal. #CityMJ"
Oh, and I want to share a message I got on e-mail yesterday. The woman writes, "On the upside there are lots of lovely people with trucks...helping us poor car owners out of snow drifts...I know the keyboard warriors like to complain and all, but the fact is, we live in a pretty awesome place...and I don't think we always realize how lucky we are for that."
Perspective, people. Perspective.
