Father's Day is Sunday.  It's important to most dads.  A survey from RetailMeNot.ca finds 87% of Canadian dads agree Mother's Day usually outshines Father's Day and 30% of dads say their feelings would be hurt if they didn't get the same kind of special treatment that mom gets on Mother's Day.

While most dads say they don't really expect a gift 44% says they will be upset if they're forgotten on Sunday.

So, how much to spend and what shall we get him?

Well, on average, Canadians will spend $93 on dad this weekend which, by the way, is 37% less than we spend on mom.

The top gift for dad will be tickets to an event or show with dinner, a round of golf, clothing and sporting goods also in the top 5.

And, you might find this reassuring;  91% of Canadian dads agree that the "thought counts" more than the price for Father's Day gifts.

Happy Father's Day!
