She says, "I think now this puts the pressure squarely on senior administration and city council to close...now it's decision making time and as a consultant to the city I'm not a decision maker."
Deb Thorn resigned from her position as Economic Development Officer at Moose Jaw City Hall last week. She didn't throw anyone under the bus but, if you read between the lines, it's clear she's frustrated. I think she wants to move forward on some of the major projects she's trying to attract to our city and it's not happening.
I get the impression the frustration could be with both city administration and city council. Our leaders don't seem to get much done at their Monday night meetings because some councilors are often engaged in debate with our municipal managers.
I don't get it. I don't get why we elect those councilors who continually engage in that debate and I really don't understand why there's so much conflict.
Somebody's got to tell them we're on the same team.
