So, it was clear - the majority of locals did not like front, curbside collection for garbage and recycling.  That was confirmed with a $10,000 telephone survey.

City Council heard you.  Last night, they voted to increase collection fees from the proposed rate of $7.25 per month to $9.77 due to the cancellation of front, curbside collection.

So, we post the story on the DiscoverMooseJaw.com Facebook page and they're on the attack.  Some continue to go after Council and City Hall and some are attacking each other.

Maxine says, "This is unfair to me.  I have front street pickup and should not be penalized."

Mike replies, "This city has bigger issues than garbage, and the fact they separate these fees from the taxes is just another way of increasing taxes."

Sylvia says, "I'm ready to move away from this city."

And Kevin says, "You all complained that the front curbside wasn't working.  The system that saved $100,000-plus yearly.  Now that you got your way, those dollars have to come from somewhere."

Thanks, Kevin.  You said it.
