Do you dread Mondays?
The surveys and polls show the average person moans and groans for about 34 minutes on a Monday morning, compared to about 22 minutes on other days.
Over 50% of us show up late for work on Monday and most of us are only productive for about 3 or 4 hours on Monday. People aged 45 to 54 are most likely to suffer the "Monday blues" and stats show a 20% increase in heart attacks on Mondays.
Today is "Blue Monday". It's the 3rd Monday in January. A number of things factor in to this "equation." We're in the middle of winter, we're still only getting about 8 hours of daylight each day and many of us have bills to pay after the Holiday Season.
Mental health experts say we can beat it by getting some fresh air and exercise and by doing things we enjoy with people we like.
