Are the little ones excited for Santa? Well, they won't have to wait much longer as Santa is coming to town.

Moose Jaw's annual Santa Claus parade will look a little different this year from the parade did last year.

"I was there every night (last year), a lot of us were and we probably covered 98% of the streets in Moose Jaw and it was just too much and some of the streets just aren't conducive for getting the fire trucks up," said Cory Olafson, member of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen club.

So this year, the parade will be following the same route as the public bus transit with some slight adjustments.

The parade will run on 4 separate nights. It'll start off next weekend on Saturday, November 27th with the big Christmas tree light up at the kinsmen center which will initiate the start of the parade. It will then run through town the following Sunday on the 28th. Then again on the next Saturday and Sunday nights of December 4th and 5th.

People can find the specific parade routes for each night on the Kinsmen's Facebook page but the page will also be useful on each night of the parade as well.

"Santa will have a pin on him that so... once we start the parade route, if you go on our Facebook page you can see where we're and kind of follow our route there so that's another way you can track where we're at each night," says Olafson.

The Moose Jaw Police Service will be leading the parade with sirens. They will be joined by the Fire Department, a Canadian Tire truck, and many more cool things to see including a brand new ride for the Ol' Saint Nick himself.

The Moose Jaw Food Bank will also be there collecting donations of non-perishable food items. During last year's parade nights, the food bank brought back a total of 7500 pounds of food. People can leave bags of food on the sidewalks and the Food Bank trucks will pick them up. is Moose Jaw's only source for community news and information such as weather and classifieds.
