The City of Moose Jaw is open to selling the old Natatorium but, you've got to have a plan for an adaptive re-use and you'll need big money for renovations.

Moose Jaw's old Natatorium indoor pool was once a thriving, multi-purpose facility with an indoor pool that could be covered with a gym floor.  It was also a tourist attraction with people from across the province coming to Moose Jaw to get personal-care services, much like we can get now at modern-day spas.

The "Nat" was just recently placed on the National Trust For Canada Top 10 Endangered Places list and that has locals talking again.

While we still use the building and locker room facilities for the Phyllis Dewar outdoor pool, the indoor pool area has been closed to the public for many years.

We talked to local photographer / historian Stuart Anderson about the Nat and his popular Facebook page, "Moose Jaw - Surprisingly Unexpected".
