Local parents and students will learn about potential problems that can occur while surfing the net such as bullying, harassment, and sexual predators.

Between MySpace, YouTube, Facebook, MSN, and text chat it can be difficult to keep up with and understand what our kids are actually doing online these days.

Thursday night, an expert from the University of Regina will help parents figure that out as an interactive presentation comes to the Peacock Auditorium.

Doreen Dessert is the Chairperson of Peacock's School Community Council ad says the presentation will focus on the possible dangers that kids could encounter on the Internet, including online bullying. "I think bullying is an issue on the Internet and that's one thing that the council was interested in."

The free, public presentation begins 7 o'clock Thursday night.
