The Western Hockey League announced on Thursday that Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Yager has been awarded the Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy for the league’s Most Sportsmanlike Player for the 2022-2023 season. 

The Saskatoon product recorded a career-high 78 points with the Warriors this season including 28 goals and 50 assists. Yager only compiled 14 penalty minutes in 67 games played. 

This is the second year in a row that Yager has brought home hardware. He was the WHL and CHL Rookie of the Year last season. 

Yager is going into his NHL Draft year. He is ranked 11th by NHL Central Scouting among North American skaters.
