WHL Commissioner says he is satisfied with the letter of commitment from the City of Moose Jaw and is excited to see the multiplex project completed.

They've been waiting in the shadows for over 20 years. Waiting for our franchise to fail so they could scoop it up and take it away. Well, they can't have it.

Moose Jaw City Council sent a letter of commitment to the Western Hockey League on Tuesday and Wednesday night; WHL Commissioner Ron Robison called the letter satisfactory.

The Warriors are staying in Moose Jaw.

The letter states that we will meet the WHL facility standards by the 2009-2010 season and that's something Commissioner Robison is pleased with. "The Moose Jaw Warriors have been a long standing member of this league and have developed a very strong fan base and have an excellent program. We wanted to lift any uncertainty around the franchise and make sure that they had a facility available to them that would be acceptable and maintain the viability of the franchise on a ling term basis."

Robison making it clear, the league would prefer a new facility and will be waiting anxiously to find out what our next step will be.
