Wakamow Valley’s Farmers Market kicks off its third year this weekend.

The farmers market takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with over 70 vendors taking over Kiwanis River Park.

“We have a different variety of vendors. We have woodworking, jewelry, homemade beef, baking, for the first one the Moose Jaw River Adventure Tours is doing a demo, local distilleries, independent home-based businesses, and dog treats. So, throughout the summer there is quite a variety of vendors,” explained Wakamow Valley Authority General Manager Donna McQuarrie-Bye.

The farmers market runs come rain or shine, so patrons are asked to dress appropriately. The event is free to attend.

“We do run on donations, so our special events committee are out there to monitor and be a part of the event as well. So, we do have a donation box that's available if people feel so inclined to do so,” McQuarrie-Bye said.

Vendors that want to take part can phone the Wakamow Valley Authority office at 306-692-2717 or email wakamow.events@sasktel.net.
