Casino Moose Jaw will be getting a facelift this summer.

SaskGaming is expected to begin its $5 million renovation project in late June.

"It's going to be the first extensive renovation at Casino Moose Jaw since that facility's grand opening in 2002," explained Brian Miller, Director of Communications at SaskGaming. "The upgrades that are going to take place will focus on the gaming and food and beverage areas at the casino and that's going to include enhancements to the lighting, carpet, and also the floor plan to create a brighter and more welcoming and convenient environment for guests."

Minor renovations were completed at Casino Moose Jaw back in 2009 with a kitchen expansion and additions to office space and meeting rooms.

"This is going to be the first extensive renovation and it is part of our revitalization plan or property refresh plan just to make sure that our facilities are what our guests expect them to be," said Miller.

He adds the renovations in Moose Jaw will be similar to what they've been doing at Casino Regina over the past four years. SaskGaming has been spending about $5 million per year on refreshing the two casinos.

Casino Moose Jaw is expected to remain open during renovations.

"It will be similar to how we did the Casino Regina renovations," remarked Miller. "There will be portions of the building that will be renovated and once the upgrades in that portion are done, then they will move on to the next area."

The upgrades in Moose Jaw are expected to be completed early in 2024.
