Another train derailed Wednesday morning located near Rouleau, about 10 km north of Wilcox.

Milestone RCMP said at 10 a.m. they were on the scene of a train derailment near the community. 

No injuries were reported and the derailment did not occur at a level crossing.

Highway 39 will be closed for several hours as the scene is cleared. A detour is in place in the area.

Drivers are being asked to check the Highway Hotline for up-to-date information before traveling on the highway. 

Motorists can expect delays in this area and are asked to follow the direction of officers at the scene. 

The RCMP asks motorists to please remember to slow to 60 km per hour when passing emergency workers. 

A release from CP rail confirmed that it was a CP freight train involved in a crash at 7:45 a.m.

This is the second train derailment this week after a train derailed near Drinkwater Saturday morning.
