‘...is singing loud for all to hear.’

Starting December 5, the Moose Jaw Rotary Club is hosting the 76th annual Rotary Carol Festival.

Choirs from across Moose Jaw and surrounding areas will pack the Zion United Church for two nights of Christmas performances.

“[The choirs] are from all different schools, and there are community choirs as well,” says Susan Hanna, Chairperson for the Rotary Carol Festival. “Ecole Ducharme, Palliser, St. Mikes, the Moose Jaw Community Choir, Caronport...”

The shows start at 7 pm on December 5 and 6.

“While the choir's set up in between, we have a ‘sing song’... A choir leader, or song leader, plays the piano, and the audience sings Christmas carols in between,” added Hanna.

The event is also a free-will offering; A bucket will be passed around the church for anyone who wants to donate to the community projects brought on by the Moose Jaw Rotary Club.

“We support the Rotary Track Club and the Salvation Army. We [also] have scholarships for the students in town.”
