Kids and their families gathered at the Western Development Museum on Saturday for the 8th annual Children's Festival hosted by the Moose Jaw Shrine Club.

Two shows throughout the day with many activities kept kids busy, but the the big draw for most was the furry friends children were able to see and observe.

"I really liked seeing the animals up close and personal because we live in the city, so we don't get a chance to see them," said attendee Jayme Puersten.

Many children also noted riding Thomas the Train as the highlight of their Saturday afternoon.

The Moose Jaw Shrine Club hosts the Children's Festival each year, allowing families to attend for free, with local businesses and groups donating time and money to create a fun filled day.
