After 3 days the preliminary hearing for Leo Joseph Lemay has been adjourned for nearly 2 months. He will have to wait until spring to find out if his murder case will go to trial.

It was scheduled for 3 days but entered a 4th day and was adjourned.

The preliminary hearing for 32 year old Leo Joseph Lemay of Moose Jaw is now on hiatus until a key witness can testify for the Crown.

Lemay is charged with 2nd degree murder and arson in connection to the death of 52 year old Gerhard Gellner last fall. Gellner was found dead after a fire in his Lillooet Street apartment on October 11th.

The case adjourned until April 30th when the preliminary hearing will hear from a pathologist. Lemay remains in custody.
