The Moose Jaw U-18 Triple A Warriors move to 2-0 in the pre-season after a 5-3 win last night over the Regina Pat Canadians at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Second-year player Grady Hoffman picked up a pair of goals in the win.

"I was eager to get that first one of the season so it's kinda a relief to get it here, the second game against our rivals the Pat C's. It felt good," said Hoffman.

Ryder Knutson also picked up a pair, while Liam Fitzpatrick added another. These two teams will meet again on Friday in Regina. 

The Western Hockey League pre-season continues Friday night. The Moose Jaw Warriors are hosting Brandon at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. You can stream the game on Country 100.

In senior high school volleyball action last night, the Peacock senior girls topped Central 3-1 while Vanier beat Briercrest 3-1 as well.

In senior boys volleyball action it was Central over Peacock 3-0 and Vanier over Cornerstone 3-0.

The local high school football season resumes tomorrow night, under the lights, at Elks Field with the 0-2 Vanier Vikings taking on the 1-1 Peacock Tornadoes.

Toronto Blue Jays split a double-header with Tampa Bay, dropping the first game 4-2 and bouncing back for a 7-2 win in the 2nd game.
