With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, one on, and down by one run, Nate Mensik hits a walk-off home run to give the Moose Jaw Miller Express the 5-4 win over the Swift Current 57s on Tuesday night. 

The win gives Moose Jaw their 17th win of the season and now holds a four-game lead over Swift Current in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division.   

The Millers will begin a two-game road trip Wednesday night as they travel south to Weyburn to tackle the Beavers, followed by a trip to Regina on Thursday to battle the Red Sox, and will be back at home on Canada Day to take on Weyburn.  

In Rambler Park Men's Fastball action on Tuesday night, the Cowboys downed the Canadians 5-4, while the Piapot Chiefs lost to the Giants 10-4. 

In Minor Baseball... The 18U AAA Canucks are off until Sunday as they travel to Swift Current for a double-header with the 57s. The 18U AAs don’t play again until July 6 when they travel to Regina to take on the Pacers. The 15U AAA Canucks will travel to Okotoks over the Canada Day long weekend for an exhibition game against the White Butte Broncos on Friday.   

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to complete a sweep of the Boston Red Sox when they send ace Alek Manoah to the mound against Canadian Nick Pivetta in Wednesday night's series finale at Rogers Centre.   

Junior hockey supremacy is on the line on Wednesday night in New Brunswick as the host Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League face the Ontario Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs in the Memorial Cup final. It is the first Memorial Cup since 2019. The last two tournaments were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
