The Moose Jaw Warriors are preparing for their first-round playoff matchup against the Lethbridge Hurricanes, which kicks off on Friday night at the Hangar. In the regular season, the Warriors had a 3-1 record against the Hurricanes, with Atley Calvert leading all skaters in goals with six and points with nine in the four-game season series. 

Games 1 & 2 will be in Moose Jaw on Friday and Saturday and then will switch to Lethbridge on Tuesday and Wednesday. All games will start at  7:00 p.m. and can be heard on Country 100. 

If you missed the big news on Monday, it was announced that Moose Jaw will host the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championship from May 28 to June 3. Canada will be joined by seven other countries that will battle it out at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Tickets go on sale for the event on Wednesday. 

The Moose Jaw Carpet One U13 A Mavericks #2 are facing elimination in their league final, as they dropped game 1 of their best of three series 4-2 on Monday. They will return home for Game 2 on Wednesday at the Bert Hunt Arena at 7:45 p.m. 

A couple of city champions were crowned on Monday within the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey. The U15 Mad Greek Stealth and U13 Fighting Falcons won their finals last night. On Tuesday night, it will be the U11 C and U11 B championships taking place at the Bert Hunt starting at 6:45 p.m.
