The Moose Jaw Warriors are staging a news conference later this morning.  Nobody's spilling the beans just yet so it's not clear what the announcement will be. We'll be there and we'll share the story with you later today right here on the radio and on DMJ.com

The Warriors - MNP Alumni Golf Tournament is coming up Friday.  It's almost a sell-out with just two open spots for golfers as of the end of the day yesterday.

To baseball - the Moose Jaw Miller Express and the 57s were rained out in Swift Current.  They'll make that game up with a doubleheader on July 16, in Swift Current.

The Millers are scheduled to host the Lethbridge Bulls Tuesday night at Ross Wells Park.

After coming off a two-game sweep of the Swift Current 57s over the weekend, the 18U AAA Canucks are off until Saturday, when they take on the East Central Red Sox in a two-game series. The 18U AAs are in Regina tomorrow night to take on the Pacers at 6:00 p.m. The 15U AAA’s are back from exhibition play in Okotoks over the weekend and are on a break until July 13, when they host the Regina Wolfpack.  

Rambler Park Men's Fastball on tonight at Memorial Field.  The Moose Jaw Canadians hosting The Rez at 7:00 p.m. with the Giants hosting the Hawks at 9:00 p.m.

The Toronto Blue Jays will try to end a four-game losing streak tonight as they are in Oakland for the second game of a three-game series against the Athletics. The Jays have dropped to third place in the American League East standings and are just a half-game up on Tampa Bay. 

The Riders making a pair of trades, acquiring returner Mario Alford from Montreal for a 6th-round pick and they got punter Jimmy Smith back from Calgary after they traded him to the Stampeders last month.

Newly hired Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness says he is OK with being the team's second choice. Before signing Bowness on Sunday, the Jets had been in negotiations with two-time N-H-L coach of the year Barry Trotz. When asked about that yesterday at a press conference, Bowness said that Trotz would have been his first choice as well.  Bowness spent the last three seasons coaching the Dallas Stars.
