High School football takes centre stage in Moose Jaw tonight with 1-1 Peacock Tornadoes up against the 0-2 Vanier Vikings under the lights.

The 2-0 Central Cyclones are back in action Saturday afternoon when they host the Weyburn Eagles at Gutheridge Field.

Moose Jaw Warriors are getting set for two pre-season games this weekend including tomorrow night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre against the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Hometown boy Atley Calvert will not be in a Warriors uniform this weekend.  He's in Buffalo for the Sabres' prospects challenge.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity, I like to think I've worked for this my whole life. It's one step in the right direction and I'm excited for the opportunity," said Calvert, who is one of a number of players away at pro camps this week. You can listen to the Warriors - Wheat Kings game tomorrow night on Country 100.

Another big win for the Toronto Blue Jays last night, 5-1 over Tampa Bay. Their series continues this afternoon in Toronto.

The NFL Thursday nighter features the Chargers and the Chiefs. Kick off is set for 6:15 p.m.

And, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are getting ready for some Friday Night Football at Mosaic Stadium. The Edmonton Elks will be here for a 7:30 start.
