Fans were treated to an action-packed game on Sunday night at Ross Wells Park as the Moose Jaw Miller Express booked their ticket to the WCBL final after a 5-1 win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks.  Reliever Kaleb Waller would shut the door in his five innings of work, allowing only five hits, no runs, and four strikeouts in the win. Nate Mensik would lead the team at the plate going three-for-four with two RBIs.  

The Okotoks Dawgs await the Millers in the WCBL final as they swept their western final. That series will get underway on Tuesday in Okotoks at 7:05 p.m., followed by game two at Ross Wells Park on Wednesday.    

The Moose Jaw U17A Ice girl's fastball team is off to Montreal on Monday for the Canadian Fast Pitch Championships. The girls will kick off the tournament on Wednesday against BC1 at 7:00 a.m. CST.  

The Lynbrook Golf Club had another Hole in One on Friday. Angela Burton aced Hole #3 using her Pitching Wedge, which was witnessed by Darryl Burton. 

The Saskatchewan Roughriders improved to 5-4 on Saturday taking down the Elks in Edmonton 34-23. They will look ahead to Friday as they host the 7-1 BC Lions at Mosaic Stadium.  

Team Canada will look to make it a perfect 4-0 at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Edmonton on Monday as they take on Finland in their final round-robin game. Canada took down the Czechs on Saturday 5-1.  

After winning one of two against Cleveland over the weekend, the Toronto Blue Jays begin a three-game series on Monday with the Baltimore Orioles.
