They can smell the finish line... The Moose Jaw Warriors wrap up their eight-game road trip this weekend in Alberta, after picking 4 out of 5 wins on their BC Division road swing. They are in Red Deer on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m., and then in Calgary on Sunday for a 3:00 p.m. start. James Gallo will have all the action for you on Country 100.

Moose Jaw's AAA Warriors are also on the road this weekend, as they travel north to Prince Albert to take on the Mintos. The WINMAR Warriors are sitting in seventh place currently, and hopeful for a weekend sweep which would leapfrog them over the Mintos. Things get going Saturday night and then on Sunday at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Moose Jaw U18 AA Warriors are in action on Sunday, as they host the Swift Current Broncos at the Bert Hunt for a 12:30 p.m. puck drop.

Moose Jaw hockey product Brooklyn Nimegeers has earned her spot on Team Saskatchewan's U18 roster for the upcoming Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island next year. Nimegeers plays for the Regina Rebels in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League.

Three Canadian teams were in NHL action on Thursday. Calgary lost 2-1 to Montreal, Vancouver was whopped by the Florida Panthers 5-1, and Edmonton lost on the road in Minnesota 5-3.

And Canada is leaving the World Cup in Qatar without a victory. Morocco held on for a 2-1 win over the Canadians on Thursday, who lost all three of their games in the group stage. They will be back at the World Cup though in 2026, as they are co-hosting the event with the United States and Mexico.
