The Saskatchewan RCMP has released further details on an accident that took place on Wednesday on Highway 1 westbound, three kilometres east of the Highway 39 junction.

Moose Jaw RCMP responded at 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning to a single semi that hit the ditch. RCMP had the westbound lanes closed, but the highway was reopened to allow for one lane of traffic at 10 a.m.

Cargo needed to be offloaded from the semi in order to pull it out of the ditch. RCMP said the offloading of the cargo could take a couple of days, so motorists are asked to use caution and slow down in the area if tow trucks and crews are on the scene picking up cargo.

No injuries were reported to the police and no charges were laid.
